I also took another look at M13 tonight to compare M3 to it. M13 will probably be the third object I try to photograph when my camera adapter comes. The
first object will
be the Moon and the second will be Mizar and Alcor in the handle of the Big Dipper. The moon was amazingly bright tonight and washed out much of the southwest sky. When I was ready to call it a night and go in, I took a look at it. I always observe it last because it's so bright that it ruins your night vision. After looking at the moon through a telescope, it's like staring at a light bulb and when you look away you start seeing spots. The moon was incredible tonight. I think the collimation I did before tonights session really made a difference. I could see everything in great detail.
I'm really looking forward to being able to take some pictures of these objects instead of relying on images other people provide.
